hi unknown
maybe your dts-script has no permission to the file/directory
the access-level depends on the login of the sql-agent (system account or
special user)

server through Enterprise Manager. Grabbing some data from SQL server and
exporting it to Excel. Everything works fine. However I need to run the
package from SQL server. So, when I try to do the same on the server,
connection to Excel fails. (Yeah, I am trying to open local file located on
the server, folder has permissions to everyone.) Trace gives this:

permission to view its data.
