SQL data warehouse on MSS

    Hello,

    We have a 1TB, SQL 2000 SP3, db on an IBM x360 with 4Gb and 4 CPU's. We have
    had to disable Inter-parallelism (Max-DOP) as this causes issues with the
    queries we run. Is anyone aware of a way to use inter-parallelism without
    causing excess locking etc.???? We can't turn this off per query as some
    queries are generated on the fly.
    Or has anyone experienced performance issues running large db's on MSS
    storage - solutions appreciated!!!
