I am hoping someone can direct me to someone that can assist with an issue
that we are experiencing. We just upgraded our office software the old
version allowed us to pull information from our database to MS Word for
our
bulk mailings. the link that was made for this updated itself and we
didn't
have to go back and creat a new one each time we did a mailing. With the
new
upgrade MS Word does not allow us to make the transition without going
through major steps and after those steps it takes about 10 minites to
load
the information from our database it has to be done each time so that it
will
pick up any new patients that were entered since outrlast mailing. With
the
old version after the initial setup there were just a few steps and almost
immediate download.
I would say you are not using proper applications for bulk notifications. If
your data is in SQL Server, you can achieve the best performance with SQL
Server Notification Services. Check
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/technologies/notification/default.mspx.
We have consulted the Altapoint software company and a company by the name
of iAnywhere that Altapoint worked with concerning a driver that would
allow
the sharing process. The fellow from iAnywhere, Parker Butler says the
problem isn't on their end that it is a microsoft problem. Is there a fix
for this or are the other two guys just trying to shift blame? The
company
reps are suggesting we switch to another word processing soft ware to fix
the
issue and I really don't want to do this.
I will refrain from commenting this.
