Yes, the CREATE statement work, but the INSERT INTO expression failed.
I opened a connection to the AdventureWorks on AS in SMS, but at the beginning I got the error:
"The user 'SERVER\AdminJ' does not have permissions to obtain access to the object 'AdventureWorks DW' or the object does not exist."
So when open the project I also get the error:
"Error loading metadata: No cubes were found"

I create (and used) this Project from the wizard
(not in SMS) and also create some mining structures and models (not in SMS). But there are no cubes in this project. May be this is the issue. But if it is true, then there is not explained what is the structure of the cube (measures, dimensions, etc) or the CREATE sentence .

Are you implying that the create statement worked but the insert into failed?

I think we need more details about what's going on.

I get an error executing the "Sample DMX Queries using Adventure Works DW" in SMS

When try to Process the mining structure:
"INSERT INTO TargetMail (..."

I get the error:
"The user 'SERVER\AdminJ' does not have permissions to obtain access to the object 'AdventureWorks DW' or the object does not exist."

When opening the Project I also get the error:
"Error loading metadata: No cubes were found"

What I have to do to execute the DMX Queries without having errors?
