Re: ordering a varchar fild in sql200

The data is stored in a varchar fild, and sorts 115 as higher then 1145.
any way of sorting it numeric?
Does the data type numeric in sql2000 support empty filds?
Couse i cant get it to insert the data if i set the fild to numeric.
