That's a good definition, one way to think about it is that OLAP gives you
the power to quickly find patterns in your data through dimensional
modeling/fast query response/drill down/etc., whereas Data Mining explores
the data for you and extracts the siginificant patterns that can be used, as
Dejan says, for predictive analysis.
