Thanks for your willingness to help. I can connect to Server B f rom Server
A using SSMS etc.and fully administer and query any database on Server B
provided I change the connection to Server B. I cannot stay connected to
Server A and then query a database on Server B via linked server.
One point of clarification. I am actually able to create the linked server
on A to server B using SSMS or sqlcmd utility however I cannot access the
linked server's (Server B) catalog or connect to that linked server from A
after the linked server is created. When I try to connect I then receive
the Error:18456. I will email you the information you requested including
screen shots of the errors.
