Hi
I was wondering if anybody has seen this problem come on there system.
We are running Windows 2003 R2 64 bit with SQL 2005 64.
Remote SQL server cannot be accessed on the client machine when trying to
use the Import and Export wizard. The database engine is accessible though.
These are the steps I follow:
1.. Connect to the SQL server 2005 Database engine using SQL server
Management Studio
2.. Expand the Database folder and right click on the database
3.. Select Import Data under All Tasks
4.. Select Source
5.. Select Destination (this the sever in question) , click next, it gives
the following error:
TITLE: SQL Server Import and Export Wizard
------------------------------
The operation could not be completed.
------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access
denied. (Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server)
using Windows Authentication for both connecting to Database Engine as well
as Import Export Wizard.
