* about 20 clients computers through local network connects at a time.
* First client connects through internet takes about at least 3 mins
* Second client connect through internet takes about at least 5 mins
* Right now don't tried other client through internet.
* Once connected with Server, it seems improve in speed but data entry and
report generation speed is almost half in compare with local network.
* This is public internet.
* Server Authentication mode is Windows Builtin.
* Sorry but I don't know about ADO classic provider. What does it mean? How
to check it?

Describe "slow". How long does it take? Is it the first connection or
subsequent connections? What ADO classic provider are you using? Is this the
public internet?
