Error "Execute failed: Connection failure" after idling for a couple of hours

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi, we are completely stumped on this one. We recently launched an
application with SQL 2005 and Windows 2003 R2 64-bit. We are using the
SNAC. The application is a C++ application and uses the OLEDB API. Some
workstations give the above error after sitting idle for 2-3 hours. It
appears that for whatever reason, the client connection to the server is
terminated when no data is being sent back and forth for a period of time.
Now we have the same app running at other sites without problems. So what
could be causing this? Anything in the server set up? Any tip/suggestions
will be much appreciated

Thanks in advance.
