Log into SS in VPC from host with verified sa account!?

What do I do basically wrong that I can´t connect (in SSMS) from the host OS
to a SS2k5 (Express) in a current VPC virtual machine with verified sa
account and TCP connections enabled for sure.

It suggests that no remote connections may be allowed, but they ARE.

From the SSMS in the VM I *can* connect to its local SQLExpress instance and
to SS2k and SS2k5 instances on a different box over the network.
