SQLExpress New DB

I have a new computer with Windows VISTA on it.

I have installed SQLExpress and everything appears correct - i did not have
issues during set-up, that I can remember, I did this some while ago.

I have just started to consider using SQLExpress, my issue is I cannot
create a new database. I get an message box...

Create failed for Database 'MCCL'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Express.Smo)

Additional information

An exception occured while executing a Transact_SQL statment or batch.
(Microsoft.SqlServer.Express.ConnectInfo)

CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'. (Microsft SQL
Server, Error: 262)

From a little reasearch I understand it seems to be a premissioning problem,
but do not udnerstand what to do to solve this issue.

I intend to use the new DB when created as the back end for an ASP
application - not sure if this is relevant to how my problem will be solved.
