Re: MS Access 2000 and SQL 2000

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

It looks like it's a permissions thing. The Admin account has RWE permission to the
folder where the Access database is, but the user does not. Check the permissions on the
folder where the Access database is and make sure it has Read, Write, Execute
permissions for Everyone, and that the permissions prorogate down to all folders and
files.

I have a user application that runs on MS Access 2000. On one client PC, the
user's PC log in and got the following error:
17[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]AQL Server does not
exist or access denied.:53[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]
ConnectionOpen(Connect())..

Its very strange because when I log into the same PC with local admin
rights, or with my ID, I have no problem to login to system. However, when
the user try her login, the above error occurs.

Initial diagnose thought it was MDAC, but I doubt. Any one has any idea
what is the cause?

Thanks in advance.
