I worked on one where we maintained a subset of the AS400
data in a SQL Server database. More data mart like than data
warehouse though. Integrating with the AS400 is doable. If
you are using Client Access, make sure that the CA installed
on the SQL Server box is kept up to date with the CA
patches.
