Hi ,

Thanks for your prompt updates providing detailed information!

Please check if the issue occurs only with the specific domain user
profile. Please logon as a different domain user to see whether it will
still occur. If it does not occur, you may take the following steps to
check if it is caused by your profile:

a) Use Getsid tool from the Windows Server/2000 Resource Kit to obtain the
SID. At a command prompt, use the following syntax:

getsid \\<ComputerName ><UserName> \\<ComputerName ><UserName>

For example:

getsid \\windowsxp mydomain\test \\windowsxp mydomain\test

The results look something like this:

The SID for account mydomain\test is
S-1-5-21-1708537768-1993962763-1957994488-1003

You could download GetSID.exe in the following documents

Free Windows 2000 Resource Kit Tools for Administrative Tasks
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;274305

b) After you obtain the user SID, start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe or
Regedt32.exe), and then select the user SID under the following registry
key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

Please backup the registry key and delete the SID from the profile list.
Please logon as the domain user again and new profile will be created for
the user. Please check if the issue still occur at this time.

Thank you for your patience and corperation. If you have any questions or
concerns, don't hesitate to let me know. We are here to be of assistance!

Sincerely yours,

Mingqing Cheng
