Experiencing 2 different errors before being able to connect to the database.
This happened 2 times, 7 days apart, and the problem was resolved by
selecting OK thru the errors and allowing the program (Access) to connect.
1st error occurs twice and the 2nd error, which is an Access Error occurs, 1
time, then theres connectivity. The Access error is an error we recieve, when
this connection error occurs. I have already checked our ODBC connections and
everything is correct. No problem after that, but the false errors are
annoying.
SQL Server: Win Server2kSP4 with SQL Server 2000, MDAC 2.8
Workstation: Win XP Pro SP1 running office XP Pro.
1st error:
Connection failed:
SQLState '01000'
SQL Sever Error: 2
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBMSLPCN]ConnectionOpen(Connect()).
Connection failed:
SQLState '08001'
SQL Sever Error 17
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBMSLPCN]SQL Server does not exist or
access denied.
Any heads up on why it does this? COuld it be a connectivity issue?
Thank You.
