Thanks for the response john. Connectivity is working
fine with tcp/ip. Replication is working. Now I want to
take advantage of VIA(giganet). The reason for this post
is to confirm if VIA(giganet) requires enterprise ed.
because it only appears in the server/client network
configuration utility on my clustered sql servers. The
second reason for the post is to find more details on
configuring VIA(QLogic) if that is the only option I will
have with the Standard ed. of Sql server. If I upgrade
the from standard to enterprise ed. I have located a
wealth of information on configuring VIA(giganet) and dont
believe it would be difficult, but the benefits would have
to be enormous to justify buying 8 enterprise ed. licenses
for my production sql servers.
