You missed something.
You need to install the Multi-Path IO feature for Windows 2008 and then the multipath driver (PowerPath if it is an EMC SAN) from the vendor.

Hi Guys, I have an issue on an MS 2008 cluster build. It is FC connected to
the SAN and can see all 3 LUNs presented x8 for the SAN controller channels.
So in disk manager I can see 24 disks, of which I am using 3, the rest are
offline. I would like to remove the ghosted disk appearance.
Question:- Do I have my SAN config correct for 2008, or have I missed
something in the hardware build.
.
