Geoff thanks for the information! I really appreciate your help.

"Domain Groups" issue went away after I deleted and recreated identical
domain Global/Security groups on the domain. Honestly I have no clue why it
did not work the first time.

My Sql database service and Analysis service install failed when I tried to
deploy them into two nodes at the same time. As per your suggestion, I'm
trying to install everything on the first node first and then I'll try to add
the second node. Somehow I feel that I might need your suggestions again :)

That is definitely an oddball issue.

You should be able to change the group membership. Have you tried
pre-loading the accounts into the correct groups and see if that
shortcuts
the errors?

I'm the owner of the groups. Plus my domain account has domain admin
privilages and I have full access to the groups.

Hello,

I'm installing 2 node failover SQL 2005 cluster. For some reason
I'm
getting
the following error after I provided domain groups for cluster
services:

"You don’t have privileges to add accounts to the domain groups
specified
for this failover cluster. Ask your domain administrator for

All four global/security domain groups definitely exist. I have
created
them
myself. I added my personal domain account into all of them, to
make
sure
I
can edit the membership. I’m using my domain account to install
cluster,
so
from permissions perspective everything should be fine but SQL
install
wizard
keeps on complaining.

Any ideas / workarounds?
