On the extra NIC, create a DNS suffix, e.g. MyNet. Configure SQL Server to
add an IP for that subnet. (How this is done differs from SQL 2000 to SQL
2005.)

Assuming your virtual SQL Server name is MYVIRTSQL, you can access your
virtual SQL Server through the new NIC by using MyNet.MYVIRTSQL.
