Can i set up clustering on a single node only to add the second node
later..i.e pending budget approval for second node as an example for
holding off on second node for now ?
Also if the answer is yes, can you add the second node without taking the
current cluster or SQL offline ?
Windows Server 2003 server clustering requires purchasing a complete
solution from the WIndows Server Catalog found at
www.windowsservercatalog.com if you want full support. Go to the website
then select hardware and cluster solutions.
OK, with that said, at the bare minimum, your nodes need to be the same with
the same firmware versions and drivers. It is difficult to purchase a
cluster pieces at a time.
What are you using for shared storage?
