I created a single node SQL 2000 cluster for testing purposes on
Windows 2003 SP1 box. In time, the application folks wanted to test
failover and requested a failover node. I added the failover node to
the cluster group and to the SQL cluster. I verified failover to the
new node of the quorum resources, but am unable to install SP4 to the
failover node (the active node already has it). I get the error
message:
"Setup failed to perform required operations on the clustered nodes"

I have tried the hotfix (SQL2000-KB905286-v8.00.2151-x86x64.exe) which
is supposed to address this issue. I had no more success though.

Here is a copy of the tail end of sqlsp.log:
