OS: Windows 2003 SP1 64bit Enterprise Ent.
SQL 2005 Standard Ent SP1 installed.
Active/Passive Cluster setup
I have evicted and rebuild the node and I have verified the cluster groups
are working excluding SQL. I attempt to install from the other node and I
am good to go until I hit "Install".
It seems to be working for a minute or two and then I get a error message
stating the Scheduler wouldn't start.
On the target Node I am getting a Kerberos error ( see below)
I have tried using setsps -R computername
I have tried removing and readding computers to domain
I have applied much Google grease to this problem and I see I am not
alone, but I have yet to find a solution.
Now I am stumped. Any suggestions?
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Kerberos
Event Category: None
Event ID: 4
Date: 12/21/2006
Time: 9:41:15 AM
User: N/A
Computer: xxxxxx
Description:
The kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_MODIFIED error from the server
host/XXXX.XXX.com. The target name used was cifs/XXXXXX. This indicates
that the password used to encrypt the kerberos service ticket is different
than that on the target server. Commonly, this is due to identically named
machine accounts in the target realm (xxx.xxx.com), and the client realm.
