Hi,
we actually have done exactly the same thing for similar reasons and it
works.
but we do have two unresolved issues:
- in the windows performance monitor we don't find the sql-server
performance
counters
- we are not sure if the 32bit swl2k is using all the memory it could
use, since
we don't understand if on x64 w2k3 for the 32bit programms
everything works
as if the /PAE and /3GB and /AWE settings of 32bit w2k3 and w2k were
set.
since becouse of the first we even don't have counters to measure
memory
use exactly, we are still wondering. does anybody know about this?
thanks,
maborg.

Hello Dan,
Hi,
We are consoldating a number of database servers onto a new cluster,
and I just wanted to check wether an instance of SQL2K EE 32bit will
run ok alongside an instance SQL2005 x64 on a Windows 2003 x64 2 node
cluster? I know it would be better to move all databases to SQL2005
x64, but one of the application vendors isn't supporting their
database on SQL2005 yet.
Has anyone used this config? Or heard of any issues?
Thanks
This should work
