It is very advisable to get it working as soon as possible. Murphy's law
states that you will end up having to deploy it sooner or later when it's
most inconvenient.

You don't have to configure the DTC resource if you don't use it. However,
it's good practice to have it configured just in case. In some cases, you
may
think you are not doing anything that may require DTC, but there could be
things you don't know. Even if you indeed don't use anything that requires
DTC, the revision of an existing app or the release of the next app may
start
to require it.
In Windows 2003, the recommended practice is to have DTC configured in a
separate resoruce group with its own IP address, network name, and disk
resource.

Hi,
Is adding DTC as a resource to my cluster necessary or it is used for
particular purpose? My database does not perform any distributed
query/xact.
Do I have to add DTC resource to the cluster?
Thanks in advance,
