I am sorry if that was not thorough, . We have SQL Server 2000 setup in
the cluster group succesfully across 2 node. We are trying to installe
SQL Server 2005 with it's own group, but the installation does not let
us create the database services in a cluster environment. It want to
upgrade the SQL Server 2000 instance. But hte Analysis services will
install correctly under the cluster group for SQL Server 2005. We have
assigned a virtual server names for boith instances at the DNS, ad
assigne seperate cluster disks for both as well.
Like stated, SQL Server 2000 instance works fine and failsover
correctly. The issue that we are facing is that the SQL Server 2005
installation procedure does not allow the database services to install
under the cluster group.
Hopefully that made sense.
