I tried through the SQL Installer through steps :
Install SQL Server 2000 Components ->Install Database Server
Virtual Server (the name of SQLClust1 for examle) -->Advanced options
-->Maintain a Virtual Server for Failover Clustering
and add both nodes on the configured nodes.
It doesnt work again, failed to failover sql server, server agent and server
full text resources.
In active/passive scheme ,that works fine before a month ago in the same
infrastructure that we made for test reasons.
I install from the beginining seperately in every node MSSQL Server for the
active/active scheme and i have seperately for every Instance its own
virtual server with its IP address/Network Name and seperate storage disk
Anyway, thnx for your help and guide.
If u can help me further ,you;re welcome :)
I will search it further.

You must run the SQL installer to add or remove nodes from the SQL
configuration. Using the cluster administrator tool to add or remove
possible owners will not work. The SQL installer will adjust the cluster
group and resource properties correctly.

Thanks for your reply.
But from the beginning i already add for each resource in both sqlgroups
(SQLGroup1 & SQLGroup2) as Possible owners the 2 nodes ,and after that
the 2 nodes as Preferred Owners for each sqlgroup
What do u mean by saying "You have to add
Node2 to the possible owners of SQLGroup1.This is only possible using the
SQL installer" ?
It confuses me little, how to achieve that?
Best Regards,
Cipher.

Owners list the POSSIBLE owners, not the current owners. You have to
add Node2 to the possible owners of SQLGroup1. This is only possible
using the SQL installer. Once you have both nodes as possible owners of
each resource group, you can then set the preferred owner order.

Hello to everyone,
I made a new SQL (2000 SP3) Activer/Active cluster in my company with
the below nodes scheme :
SQLGroup1 -->SQLCLUST1 -> owner node1
SQLGroup2 -->SQLCLUST2\SQLCLUST2 -> owner node2
When i try to failover SQLGroup1 to node2 or the same procedure for
SQLGroup2 to node1 , it failovers the Disk ,SQLIP,SQL Network Name
Resources but the resources
SQL Server,Server Agent and Server Fulltext failed and the whole group
returns to its owner 'primary' node.
I changed the max memory size to both sql servers ,i check to event
viewer and cluster log ,but i didnt find something information to help
me.
If anyone can help or suggests something, thnx a lot
Regards,
.
