Does Sql 2000 Cluster require DTC?

Hello,

Currently I need to deploy a cluster environment for my client. I've
found many topics discussing about whether Sql 2000 cluster requires
DTC to operate, but still see no final answer for it. Can someone
please help me answer this question?
