Hi,
We plan to install/setup 3-4 node SQL Clustering using Windows 2003
(Enterprise Edition)/SQL2000 (Enterprise Edition) on SAN (EMC)
we plan to initially setup/install clustering using two servers (S1& S2) as
an ACTIVE/PASSIVE and then later add third (S3) as ACTIVE with S2 as Standby
(remain PASSIVE) and may be fourth one later...
We want it to make sure that we have the DISK resources setup/assigned
appropriately so we do not have any issues with above configurations.
We have 3 storage groups (sg1, sg2, sg3) 100 GB (RAID5) for SQL Data each
server.
We have 2 storage group (sg1, sg2) 33 GB (RAID1) for SQL Log
Need advice on following:
Drive letter assignment (SQL Data)
Drive Letter assignment (SQL Log)
We plan to use single QUORUM disk (Q:) for all NODES.
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
