Yong,
I don't believe that should be the root cause for the setup failure. Root
cause seems to be "Remote process exit code was '2' (SVMDB2)". I would
suggest trying one node installation and then adding the other node i.e
during SQL setup on SVMDB1, on the 'Cluster Management' screen remove SVMDB2
and see if the installation succeeds. After that you can try adding SVMDB2
to the existing virtual server and see if that resolves the issue.

instructions:
How to install a one-node failover cluster
How to add nodes to an existing virtual server (Setup)
If that does not work as well, I think it would be a good idea to call
Microsoft support.
