    Srini.

Here is some testing that I did for you.

I just created a local NT account on the node where the virtual instance of SQL Server 2000 was currently running. Say node1. The NT user is node1\test. SQL virtual instance is running on node1. I opened Enterprise
Manager and was able to add the user node1\test. I was able to give it access to pubs db. Then I opened QA; logged in as node1\test and was able to execute commands. Then I moved the SQL virtual instance to
node2 and tried running the same commands from the QA that I opened previously. It failed with the error that you got. I moved SQL virtual instance back to node1 and once again the commands ran successfully.

I tried creating a local NT login on node2--- called node2\test. I was able to add it to SQL server but both are two different logins although their names are the same. I leave the rest of the testing for you.
