On what process/definition it hangs? Do you have a computer connected to the

I was reinstalling SQL Server 2005. On Vista the message was about
incompatibility.
On XP Prof. SQL Server Setup Dialog Box shows Message "..scanning your
computer configuration" It never comes trough - hangs. I was trying to
remove
SQL Server 2005 and then install again. But it hangs on the same place
while
removing. Can not remove it. What to do? Please, help
