I understand that you would like to connect to your Oracle 9 and 10 from
your 64-bit SQL Server 2008 instance via linked server, however you found
that MSDAORA does not include a 64-bit OLE DB provider.
If I have misunderstood, please let me know.
Yes, MSDAORA is old and designed for Oracle 8. Currently Microsoft does not
provide any 64-bit provider for Oracle. You need to get Oracle's 64-bit
OLEDB Provider for Oracle from Oracle's website. Here is the link for your

I have the same problem. Also I downloaded the x64 version and tried to install it on my Windows Server 2008 x64 machine. The setup starts, but stops after some seconds with the error "Java(TM)2 Platform Standard Edition binary has stopped working":

I have 3 javaw.exe in c:\program files(x86)\EMC\Navisphere subdirectories, but none is executable without being in its subdirectory, which is not in the PATH variable.
