I installed SQL Server Experess edition initially. After I uninstalled
Express I tried to install the Developer edition. The install is failing
for
Notification Services, Integration Services and Client Components (or
Workstation Components). Each fails with the message:
"A component that you have specified in the ADD_LOCAL property is already
installed. To upgrade the exisiting component, refer to the template.ini
and
set the UPGRADE property to the name of the component."

Re: SQL 2005 Management Studio ... That gives you full rights to use Management Studio on whatever ... machine they install it... ... my lawyer's not here to go through the licensing agreement... management tools from that CD instead of developer edition.... (microsoft.public.sqlserver.tools)
Re: 2000, XP or 2003 ... I'm sorry, I never used the runtime engine (even if I always bought the developer edition, I always ask my clients to buy and install the full retail package of Access). ... (microsoft.public.access.adp.sqlserver)
