Hi Tarek,
Try capturing a SQL Profiler trace so that you can see what Management Studio is sending to SQL Server when you try doing this.

Try applying the latest service pack on the PC where you get
this error. Service Pack 2 is the latest service pack for
SQL Server 2005.
