Change the DNS entry to point to the new IP address or change the connection
strings.

Hello,
Does anyone know how to configure a SQL 2005 Alias where SQL 2000 Clients
can access it by name? I migrated a db over to a new server and would
like to decommission the old one but point all of the clients to the 05
server.
Regards,
Stewart
