SQL 2005 Management Console editing errors


Hi,

I don't know if anyone can help with this. When I open a table in the
management console and try to edit data I usually get an error message
that "String or Binary data would be truncated" even though this is not
really the case. I also sometimes get the error when I try to delete a
record from an open table. Is this a bug, and has it been fixed.

I don't often use this method of editing records but if it is only a
change to a couple of records it is sometimes quicker to do a manual
amendment this way than writing a query.

Any help will be appreciated
