Have you checked on the manufacturer's web site to see if they detail the issue in more detail. I don't personally know what software you are talking about, but I'm guessing you already have a default instance of MSDE on your PC, the Iris installer is detecting this, and is asking that you manually tell it somehow what the name of this MSDE instance is.
