In respose to Andrew's comment....

This is as I feared. However Mary Chipman, a frequest responant here
expressed that MS Access was not intended to be used with either MSDE,
nor SQL server 2000 - a statement which contradicted in many Microsoft
publications. Her comment, in fact, suggested my question.

However, I will look at the article and respond at a later time.
