Data gone missing on sync
Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance
Hi all
I have a small mobile windows app made with C# running on Windows
Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC and syncing with sql 2005 server.
Problem I am having is following:
After I start the app, edit the setting for the app (db location, pwd/
usr etc) and sync the db with the server I get two rows of data. I
edit one and save to the db on the device. After that if the battery
goes dead the data is still there. When I start the device again I
have to edit settings again and then I have to sync the device. After
this sync the two rows are back to their original form.
Now the question is: Is this a design flaw and something that I could
change by rewriting the code (tried to look where to change but could
not find) or is it a problem with the synchronization process? Because
the mobile database file does not disappear and keeps the records
untill the second sync.
Hopefully I was clear enough.
Thanks,
Tuomo
