OK, I can see that you can poke data into excel from an external program (or is this a macro), but is it possible to connect directly using an OLE DB connection string?

Anthony,

You can also load SQL CE data into Excel programmatically using Visual Studio Tools for Office. (VSTO). There's a sample here in the TechEd demos section: http://blogs.msdn.com/SteveLasker/
