You must be using Visual Studio 2005 Standard or higher and have the "Smart
Device Programmability" option selected during install.
For a longer version, see:

Hi,
In VS.NET, from the Data menu I try to add a new connection to *.sdf file,
but I don't have any Data Source for SQL Server Compact Edition when I
click "Change" button.
I installed the following file:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\90\Tools\Binn\VSShell\Common7\IDE\sqlce30setupen.msi
but nothing appeared.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Leila
