Re: Replication on 2 SQLCE

No, I don't think databases are a particularly good place for BLOBs.
I don't know that FTP synchronization is an option -- with either engine.

Hi,

It is possible a replication between two SQL Compact edition
databases ?
I explain : two mobile applications (for exemple delivery) connect
itself to change information like adress contact of each mobile.

Or each mobile must transfert data to server before to refresh
information ?

Thanks

Ok thank you.
Have you got find a page from MS site where they speak about
replication between database ?

Thank you for this information... It was very interrested.

Do you know if it possible to transfert files via replication
synchronisation ?
I explain :
On my SQL Server 2005, I have one column which saves a path of media
file (video, sound or image).
When I active replication on SQL Server CE, I have got only path of
media file and I don't have media file.

Hi,
Do you find something ?

Ok, thank you for your patience.
There is an another solution may be : to insert media file on
database . But I don't know if SQLCE supports video file for example
and to cast data to column table is not powerful . So, I think is a
bad solution.

I see too, that you can use FTP for replication. It means that SQL
Server has a behavior of "ftp server" ?
If SQL Server has a behavior of "ftp server", I think it is possible
to transfert files, no?

Audrey
