The error indicates that there is not a valid snapshot on the
publisher. From within SQL Server 2005 Management Studio,
right click on the Replication node for your publication and
select 'View Snapshot Agent Status'. Then click on the Monitor
button and see if the SQL Agent reported any errors generating
the snapshot.

A common mistake here is not granting the IIS default user
(IUSR_{yourservername}) permissions on the publication
and the published databases.
