You can get the SQL Mobile beta with VS 2005 Beta. This is readily
downloadable from MSDN.

However, the version of smartphone that is supported by SQL Mobile is NOT
shipping yet. I am not at liberty to discuss dates for that release of
smartphone, but it will not be this year. When that version of PocketPC and
SmartPhone ships, there will be a SDK that will plug into VS 2005 to allow
you to use the emulator if you can't get your hands on an acutal device.
That SDK will also be in beta later, but I don't have dates on when that
beta SDK will be available or what distribution mechanism will be available
for it at this time.
