No, SMS cannot change remote desktops behavior when dealing with the
situation of a logged on user. However we can integrate with Remote
Assistance and allow you much of the same functionality of Remote tools.
The reason it is "not advised" to install remote tools on top of remote
desktop is primarily for security reasons, while Remote Tools is secure,
Remote Desktop is more secure and it is always beneficial to reduce the
attack surface area on a computer, so having two ports open that perform
essentially the same service would increase the systems vulnerability with
little to no bebefit.
