I believe you've run into a known problem with the Advanced Client Spy tool
from Toolkit 1.

Try these workarounds:
1. Always specify User and Password when connecting remotely to a client
using the Advanced Client Spy tool from SMS 2003 Toolkit 1.
2. Establish a connection to the client (NET USE \\client\ìpc$) before using
the Advanced Client Spy tool.
