Ok that makes sense why you are now looking at the hash. I wonder if
patchdownloader.dll is returning a false success code. The download can't
be happening, because look at the results of a dir /s that he ran:
E:\Program Files\SecurityPatch\PkgSource\1033>dir/s
Volume in drive E has no label.
Volume Serial Number is 50E6-E61F
Directory of E:\Program Files\SecurityPatch\PkgSource\1033
01/03/2004 18:07 <DIR> .
01/03/2004 18:07 <DIR> ..
01/03/2004 18:07 247,779 mssecure.cab
1 File(s) 247,779 bytes
Total Files Listed:
1 File(s) 247,779 bytes
2 Dir(s) 3,916,718,080 bytes free
E:\Program Files\SecurityPatch\PkgSource\1033>
Notice the date of mssecure.cabv -->01/03/2004 18:07. How can he be running
a successfull Sync and the DP refresh is failing but the D/L is returning as
a success if the date is that old? The D/L link in the log is right:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=23190 . I think the failure is the
D/L isn't actaully happening which is why the DP refresh fails. Maybe the
CAB is corrupt and needs to be deleted because the Sync Tool can't overwrite
it with the latest version?
