Do you have the OSD feature pack installed ? Thats needed to install Operating systems.

Johan Arwidmark has some great guides on myitforum and deployvista.com so check thoose out and see if that takes you further.

Dear All.
I have an SMS 2003 Server installed.SMS is managing 200 desktops.All
the
desktops are Windows XP Proffessional.I am in process of upgrading the
desktops to Windows Vista.How can i upgrade from Windows XP
Proffessional to
Windows Vista using SMS 2003.I want to do an inplace upgrade instead
of
formatting the desktops.
Plz Advice.
