Thanks,
I will give that a try.

You can't do that with SMS directly. however you can work around that..
Create Package C or modify package A, so that it copies Package B to the
local HD and add entry into the runonce regkey to execute package B on
reboot. then kick off the setup for Package A.
I have used this process for un-install McAfee 4.5 and installing McAfee 7.
It works well if you have enough HD space.

Hi,
I should probably better describe what I am trying to do. I have two
packages, Package A and Package B. I have configured Package B to run
Package A prior to its execution. Package A is also configured to reboot
the
machine. So when I run this configuration the following steps happen.
1) The user is notified that a program will run in 5 minutes and they can
either run it now or hide it for the 5 minutes.
2) Program A runs and the system reboots.
3) System restarts (and in this case the user immediately logs in).
4) The user is notified that a program will run in 5 minutes and they can
either run it now or hide it for the 5 minutes.
5) After 5 minutes or immediately (if the user chooses run now) Program B
runs.
What I would like to have happen is in step 3 after the system reboots I
would like Program B to run as soon as the system starts up (or the user
logs
on). I do not want it to prompt the user or wait the 5 minutes.
Thanks

Have you timed it? Does it coincidentally appear to be exactly 2
minutes; which is the (by design) delay between policy retrieval, and
policy evaluation?

Thanks for the response Garth,
This option will hide the notifications, which is part of what I want,
but I
would also like the program to start immediately, which this option
does not
appear to change.
Thanks

Have you tried the "Suppress program notifications" check box in the
program
properties?

We have globally setup the notification of new advertisements so
that the
users are given a 5 minute notice of applications that will run.
Is there any way to override this on one specific package? I would
like
for
this package to run as soon as the client receives the
advertisement.
